The stunning natural beauty offers countless photo opportunities, so be prepared to spend a lot of time capturing the scenery.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Notes on the SUP/Kayak and hiking route

  • On the second day, we will be in Ngoi Hoa Bay, a relatively enclosed bay surrounded by high mountains. The paddling time is around 2 to 2.5 hours. We will have a motorboat supporting us during the paddle.
  • Before starting, the guide will provide instructions on paddling techniques, safety precautions, and the route. You must wear a life jacket and secure the leash properly. For first-time SUP paddlers, it is advised not to stand on the board right at the start. After paddling for about 1-2 kilometers, if you feel more comfortable and confident with the water, you can begin to stand and paddle.
  • While paddling on the lake, being mindful of obstacles such as branches or rocks. Staying close to the shore and paying attention to motorboats moving on the lake.
  • If you are a good swimmer with ample paddling experience, you may remove the life jacket and tie it to the SUP, but under no circumstances should you remove the leash.
  • In case we enter Dragon Eye Lake, we will hike for about 20-25 minutes along a small mountain trail. The path is not difficult, but you must wear sneakers or sports sandals (flip-flops are not allowed).

2. Homestay

  • Our homestay is with a Muong family in Ngoi Hoa village. We will sleep in a traditional stilt house, and each person will have their own mattress, blanket, and mosquito net.

3. Food & Drinks

  • Meals at the homestay are quite diverse and include many local specialties of the Muong people, such as grilled fish, grilled pork, stir-fried or boiled vegetables, etc. If you have dietary restrictions or are vegetarian, please notify us in advance so that appropriate food can be prepared for you.
  • In cases where we cannot meet special dietary needs (for health, medical, or religious reasons), we recommend that you bring your own food.
  • Drinking water will be provided sufficiently on the bus and during paddling.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted while paddling SUP, kayaking, or trekking. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are not included in the meals.

4. Protecting the environment together

  • We supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply to Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace tại đây
  • In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, we encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.
  • On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination.

5. Medical assistance

  • If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should consult your doctor before deciding to join the trip.
  • In any case, if you go into the water to swim, you must wear a life jacket.
