ITINERARY
Hue City Center – Minh Mang Tomb – Thien Mu Pagoda

Morning Departure 

08:00 Meet your tour guide at your hotel and transfer to the launch point near Minh Mang Tomb.

Upon arrival, you'll receive your SUP board, paddle, and safety equipment. Before setting off, your guide will provide a brief introduction to paddling techniques, balance, and river safety, making the experience suitable for both beginners and experienced paddlers.

Begin paddling downstream along the Perfume River toward Thien Mu Pagoda, following one of Hue's most scenic and peaceful waterways. The gentle current and calm water create a relaxed journey through lush riverside landscapes, traditional villages, and the timeless atmosphere of Vietnam's former imperial capital.

Along the way, you'll pass the Hon Chen area, where the group may pause for a short break to rest, take photos, and enjoy the tranquil surroundings, depending on river conditions and the pace of the tour.

Continue paddling to Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue's iconic seven-story pagoda overlooking the Perfume River. After completing the journey, transfer back to Hue by vehicle.

Afternoon Departure

14:00 Meet your tour guide at hotel and transfer to the launch point near Minh Mang Tomb.

After receiving your SUP equipment and a comprehensive safety briefing, begin paddling downstream along the Perfume River toward Thien Mu Pagoda.

As the afternoon light softens, enjoy a leisurely paddle through one of Hue's most beautiful landscapes, surrounded by quiet riverbanks, local life, and historic landmarks.

A short stop near the Hon Chen area may be included, subject to river conditions and the group's pace. Continue to Thien Mu Pagoda, where your paddling adventure ends before transferring back to Hue.

18:00 Tour concludes.

1. Paddle Boarding Notes.

  • Distance: Approximately 7 km
  • Route: The journey begins near Minh Mang Tomb and follows one of the most scenic stretches of the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda. Along the way, you'll paddle past lush riverbanks, quiet fishing villages, traditional gardens, and the Hon Chen area, enjoying a unique perspective of Hue's natural beauty and cultural heritage from the water.
  • Suitability: Suitable for beginners, first-time paddlers, families, and anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. The calm water and gentle downstream flow make this an ideal introduction to stand-up paddleboarding. Children aged 8 years and above may participate when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Safety Notes: Keep a safe distance from fishing boats, local river traffic, and riverside structures. Follow your guide's instructions at all times and remain within the designated paddling area. Weather and river conditions are monitored continuously, and the itinerary may be adjusted or postponed if conditions are unsuitable. Personal belongings such as phones and cameras should be stored in a waterproof dry bag.

3. Health & Safety

  • Medical Considerations: Your safety is our priority. If you have a history of cardiovascular conditions or chronic joint issues (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.), please consult with your doctor before booking this trip.
  • Physical Fitness: Please maintain a regular walking routine of approximately 5–7 km per day in the weeks leading up to the tour to ensure you are adequately prepared for the trek.
  • Transparency: Please inform our tour guide of any existing health conditions or allergies at the start of the journey so we can support you best.
