Meet your local guide and driver at your hotel, then transfer to the starting point near Su Pan Village. From here, begin the trekking day by walking downhill through beautiful mountain scenery.
The trail takes you through rice paddy fields toward Ban Ho Village, a village associated with the Tay people. After a short visit to a local house, continue across a suspension bridge to a nice house where your guide will prepare lunch. Ban Ho is commonly described in Sapa trekking routes as a village of the Tay minority and part of the less-visited side of the valley system.
After lunch, continue walking to another village, this time Nam Toong, home to the Red Dao people. Stop at a local house to meet villagers and learn more about their culture, customs, and traditions. Trekking descriptions for the Sapa area also identify Nam Toong as a Red Dao village often combined with Ban Ho in full-day trekking routes.
After the visit, return to Ban Ho, where the vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Sapa. Swimming may be possible along the route, but it is best to follow your guide’s advice before entering the water.
