ITINERARY
Day 1: Ha Noi - Cao Bang - Eye of God Mountain

07:30 Arriving at the departure point to gather with the tour guide and driver.  

08:00 Departing for Cao Bang.  

09:30 Stopping for breakfast and coffee along the way. After the break, the group continues to Cao Bang.  

14:00 Arriving in Cao Bang City. Having lunch at a local restaurant in the city.  

15:30 After lunch and a short rest, the group will board the bus to Hang Then Lake. Taking photos and preparing gear for a 6 km trek through the forest to Na Ma Valley, where the famous Eye of God Mountain is located.  

17:30 Arriving at the camping site in Na Ma Valley. Setting up tents and taking a shower, relaxing before dinner.  

19:30 Having dinner at the campsite. After dinner, we will sit by the campfire, enjoy cold beer, or play some fun team games to bond with each other.  

22:00 Going to sleep.

Day 2: Camping Site - Quay Son - Khuoi Ki Village - Ban Gioc Waterfall

07:00 Having breakfast at the campsite. Packing up and checking out (tents).  

08:00 Departing for Trung Khanh.  

10:00 Arriving at the starting point for walking. Picking up picnic supplies and water to take along. We will trek along the Quay Son River to Khuoi Ki Village. This trek will pass through some peaceful villages, and depending on the water level of the river, we may have to wade through the river at some points.  

12:30 Having picnic lunch by the river at a shaded spot or in a village along the way.  

16:00 Arriving at Khuoi Ki Stone Village. We will check into a homestay for tonight. Packing our belongings, enjoying a cold drink, and having a rest for a bit before taking the bus to Ban Gioc Waterfall. Exploring and taking photos at Ban Gioc Waterfall.  

18:00 Coming back to the homestay in Khuoi Ki for a shower and rest.  

19:00 Having dinner at the homestay. After dinner, the group will have free time to relax until bedtime.

Day 3 - Khuoi Ki - Nguom Ngao Cave - Cao Bang - Ha Noi

07:30 Having breakfast at the homestay. Packing our belongings to continue the journey. 

08:30 Departing for Nguom Ngao Cave.  

09:15 At the cave entrance, we will receive protective gear, drinking water, and listen to the guide’s instructions for Nguom Ngao Cave. Our experience today will involve walking through Nguom Ngao Cave (2 hours). This experience is not challenging and does not require much technical skill or physical fitness.  

11:30 Arriving at the back entrance of Ngao Cave. Taking a group photo and then boarding the bus to Quang Uyen for lunch.  

12:30 Arriving in Quang Uyen town. Having lunch at a local restaurant.  

13:30 Coming to Hanoi. Along the way, the bus will stop at 1 or 2 points for a break.  

20:30 Arriving in Hanoi. End of the tour.

* Trekking: 2 hours.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Trekking Notes

  • Distance: The trekking route is approximately 6km per day.
  • Terrain: Our trekking route will not be challenging in terms of elevation, although we will need to climb some small hills. Most of the time, we will walk along trails connecting one village to another. Some sections will pass through forested areas, but they are not too dense. The trail is not difficult, but proper trekking shoes or trail running shoes are recommended. Sandals can also be used for trekking.
  • Suitability: This route is ideal for most fitness levels, including beginners. Families arewelcome, children from 6 to 10 years old are eligible to participate.

2. Camping and Homestay

  • VAH will provide 2-person, 3-person, and 4-person tents at the camping (glamping) site operated by our partner Ecocamp. Each tent is equipped with mattresses and blankets. The campsite also offers restrooms, showers, and other facilities to ensure your camping experience is as comfortable as possible.
  • At Khuoi Ki village, we will stay in traditional Tay houses in this well-known stone village. Depending on the booking time, accommodation will be arranged either in a shared communal house (on a single floor platform) or in private rooms for groups of 2, 3, 4, and more. The homestay is equipped with restrooms and hot showers.

  • Reduce Plastic Waste: To limit single-use plastics, we encourage everyone to bring a reusable Reusable bottle (minimum 1L capacity). Refill stations will be provided throughout the trip.

4. Health & Safety

  • Medical Considerations: Your safety is our priority. If you have a history of cardiovascular conditions or chronic joint issues (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.), please consult with your doctor before booking this trip.
  • Physical Fitness: Please maintain a regular walking routine of approximately 5–7 km per day in the weeks leading up to the tour to ensure you are adequately prepared for the trek.
