ITINERARY
Hue City Center – Minh Mang Tomb – Thien Mu Pagoda

Morning Departure

08:00 Our guide and driver will pick you up at the meeting point in Hue and transfer you to the Minh Mang area.

After the transfer, guests will receive SUP boards and the necessary equipment. Before departure, the guide will provide a short introduction to paddling technique, balance, and river safety.

Begin paddling downstream along the Perfume River toward Thien Mu Pagoda. This is a gentle and scenic route with peaceful riverside landscapes and a relaxed flow, ideal for first-time or leisure paddlers.

Along the way, the group will pass the Hon Chen area. Guests may stop for a short break depending on the tour pace and river conditions.

Continue paddling to Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Hue’s best-known landmarks. Vehicle transfer back to Hue after the paddling session.

Afternoon Departure

14:00 Our guide and driver will pick you up at the meeting point in Hue and transfer you to the Minh Mang area.

Guests receive equipment and a basic SUP and safety briefing before departure.

Begin paddling along the Perfume River toward Thien Mu Pagoda, enjoying the calm scenery and the late-afternoon atmosphere of Hue.

Short stop near the Hon Chen area if conditions allow.

Continue to Thien Mu Pagoda, then transfer back to Hue.

18:00 End of the tour.

* For private tours, guests may pay an additional fee to visit Minh Mang Tomb and Thien Mu Pagoda.

* Guests may choose to visit Hon Chen independently; entrance fees are not included in the tour price.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. SUP paddling Notes

  • Distance: The trekking route is approximately 6 to 7 km per day.
  • Terrain: Along the way, you will glide past breathtaking landscapes such as Vọng Cảnh Hill and Ngọc Hồ Village, immersing yourself in the serene and peaceful atmosphere of the former imperial capital. As sunset gradually falls, golden sunlight reflects on the shimmering water surface, creating a magical and poetic scene.
  • Suitability: This route is ideal for most fitness levels, including beginners. Families are welcome, children from 6 to 10 years old are eligible to participate.
  • Before entering the water, you will receive a theoretical briefing covering basic paddling techniques, proper use of equipment, and essential safety instructions.
  • Participants are required to wear a life jacket and securely attach a safety leash at all times.
  • While paddling, please be mindful of potential obstacles such as tree branches, rocks, and other natural hazards. Stay close to the riverbank whenever possible and maintain constant awareness to avoid motorized boats operating on the river.
  • It is strictly required to follow all instructions provided by the tour guide throughout the activity.

2. Responsible Travel & Environmental Protection

  • Leave No Trace: We strictly follow and promote the Leave No Trace principles in all our outdoor programs. We encourage our guests and partners to apply these ethics to minimize our impact on the natural environment. [See details about Leave No Trace here]
  • Reduce Plastic Waste: To limit single-use plastics, we encourage everyone to bring a reusable Reusable bottle (minimum 1L capacity). Refill stations will be provided throughout the trip.
  • Local Regulations: We kindly ask all guests to comply with the specific environmental regulations and instructions provided by our guides at the destination.

3. Health & Safety

  • Medical Considerations: Your safety is our priority. If you have a history of cardiovascular conditions or chronic joint issues (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.), please consult with your doctor before booking this trip.
  • Physical fitness: Train by running or kayaking/SUP at least two weeks in advance. Run 2–3 sessions per week, about 5 km per session. Alternatively, paddle 2–3 sessions per week, covering 5–7 km per session.
  • Transparency: Please inform our tour guide of any existing health conditions or allergies at the start of the journey so we can support you best.
