After lunch, continue riding on a route that becomes mostly uphill and more demanding. There may be a stop at a village along the way, and support vehicle assistance may be needed on one of the higher passes before enjoying a final easy downhill ride to Tam Duong, where you stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 2: Tam Duong – Border – Pa So (B, L, D)

Today begins with a ride uphill from Tam Duong along a picturesque tributary of the Na River. Along the way, you may see areas of gold exploration by the river and pass several villages of the Thai minority before arriving in Pa So for lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue on a flatter road toward the Vietnam–China border, enjoying a beautiful riverside ride. Later, return to Pa So for overnight stay in a hotel by the river, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful setting.

Day 3: Pa So – Muong Lay (B, L, D)

Today’s ride is mostly downhill, allowing more time to enjoy the scenery and stop in villages along the route. You continue following the road beside the Na River, passing through areas inhabited by local minority communities, especially the Thai, the largest ethnic group in this region.

By early afternoon, arrive in Muong Lay and check in to the hotel before a late lunch.

After some rest, transfer to the river for a boat trip downstream on the Black River. Along the way, stop at a Thai village and learn more about daily life along the riverbank. Continue farther downstream before returning to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Muong Lay – Dien Bien Phu (B, L, D)

Start the day on a sealed road and continue riding through beautiful northern landscapes toward Dien Bien Phu. Around midday, there will be a stop for lunch, either at a local restaurant or as a picnic lunch prepared by the hotel.

In the afternoon, continue the journey until arriving in Dien Bien Phu, where you check in to the hotel. Later, you may take a short walk to a nearby market or simply relax after the ride.
