Terrain: Approximately 70% off-road and 30% paved mountain roads. Terrain includes dirt tracks, rocky trails, forest roads, mountain passes, river crossings (seasonal), and remote village roads. Road conditions may vary depending on weather and local maintenance. Riding days can be physically demanding due to the technical nature of the terrain rather than the distance itself.

Suitability: This tour is recommended for riders with previous off-road or dual-sport motorcycle experience. Participants should be confident riding on gravel roads, rocky tracks, steep climbs and descents, muddy sections, and uneven terrain. Riders with limited off-road experience should contact us before booking to discuss suitability.

2. Homestay

  • Accommodation is provided at carefully selected local homestays, offering a comfortable and authentic experience in the heart of Ha Giang's mountain communities. Guests stay in private twin-share or double rooms, providing a good balance of comfort, privacy, and local character after a day on the trails. Rooms are simple but well-maintained and equipped with comfortable beds, clean linens, blankets, pillows, and mosquito protection where required, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

Facilities: Homestays offer clean shared or private bathrooms, western-style toilets, and hot-water showers. While the atmosphere remains simple and authentic, all essential facilities are provided to ensure a comfortable stay in the mountains.

3. Food & Water

  • Meals: All meals showcase authentic, hearty local cuisine designed to replenish your energy after active outdoor sessions. Breakfasts are served hot at the homestay accompanied by tea or coffee. Depending on the day's itinerary, lunches are either enjoyed fresh at the homestay or packed as a scenic picnic lunch along the trekking route. Dinners feature a diverse spread of regional dishes prepared by our local hosts.
  • Water & Energy: Clean, safe drinking water and energy-boosting snacks (such as fresh fruits or local treats) are supplied daily during the tour.
  • Hot Beverages: Complimentary hot tea or coffee is generally available during breakfasts at the homestay.

  • Reduce Plastic Waste: To limit single-use plastics, we encourage everyone to bring a reusable bottle (minimum 1L capacity). You can refill it throughout the day from our large water jugs.
  • Local Regulations: We kindly ask all guests to comply with the specific environmental regulations and instructions provided by our guides at the destination.

5. Health & Safety

  • Medical Considerations: Your safety is our priority. If you have a history of cardiovascular conditions or chronic joint issues (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.), please consult with your doctor before booking this trip.
