The early bird catches the worm. If you wake up early with us, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful moments of sunrise in Hoi An. Watching the sunrise by having a SUP tour will take you to the sea to witness the first rays of the new day. After that, we will kayak to a bustling fish market where fishermen return from their night fishing trips, and finally, we will paddle to the mangrove forest that is often referred to as the 'Little Amazon.' This short tour not only offers you an exciting sunrise experience but also allows you to explore a different aspect of the tranquil life in Hoi An.

ITINERARY
Hoi An - Cam Thanh - Cua Dai - Hoi An

04:30 - 05:15:  The tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the kayaking starting point in Cam Thanh. After the guide explains the basic kayaking skills and safety regulations, we will begin kayaking on the Thu Bon River heading towards Cua Dai. We will catch the first rays of sunlight of the new day on the sea. The next destination on our journey is Duy Hai fish market in the Cua Dai area. This is a small fish market where local fishermen return after their night fishing trips.

We will have breakfast and coffee at a local eatery, taking in the tranquil life of Hoi An before reaching the final destination of our journey, the mangrove forest near the estuary. After that, we will paddle back to the starting point. A car will take you back to the hotel. End of the program.

* Total kayaking distance: 7 km (2.5 hr - 3 hr)

* You can choose to paddle a SUP instead of a kayak. Please inform us when you register for the tour.

  • Waterproof trekking shoes
  • Summer: Quick-drying clothes, long-sleeved swimsuit (rashguard), hat, sunglasses, gloves, sunscreen...
  • Water bottle (1L) 
  • ID card or Passport

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Kayaking Notes

  • Before getting in the water, you will be given theoretical instructions, including techniques, how to use the equipment, and safety guidelines.  
  • You must wear life jackets properly.  
  • While kayaking, be mindful of obstacles in the river, etc.  
  • Staying close to the riverbank and always being aware of motorboats on the river.  
  • Strictly following the guide's instructions.

2. Drinking Water & Breakfast

  • Drinking water will be provided in abundance on the vehicle and while kayaking. We encourages customers to limit the use of single-use plastic and nylon products; therefore, we recommend that you bring a reusable water bottle to fill from the large water container we provide. 
  • During the tour, there will be a stop for breakfast and coffee at a local eatery. This is an experience of the local people's way of life. The food is not fixed and may include dishes like vermicelli, Quang noodles, etc. The tour guide will decide which dish guests will experience.

3. Protecting the environment together

  • In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, we encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.
  • On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination. 

4. Medical assistance

  • If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should consult your doctor before deciding to join the trip. 
  • In any case, if you go into the water to swim, you must wear a life jacket.
