ITINERARY
Cam Thanh - Hoi An Ancient Town - Cam Thanh

14:30 Meet your tour guide at your hotel and transfer to our kayak station in Cam Thanh.

After receiving your kayak or stand-up paddleboard (SUP) and a short introduction to basic paddling techniques and safety procedures, begin your journey along the Thu Bon River toward Hoi An Ancient Town.

As you paddle downstream, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the river while watching Hoi An gradually transform with the setting sun. The warm golden light illuminates the tiled rooftops, moss-covered walls, and historic riverside houses before giving way to the soft glow of hundreds of colorful lanterns. From the water, you'll experience one of Hoi An's most magical moments as the Ancient Town comes alive in the evening.

Take your time to soak in the scenery, capture stunning photographs, and admire the reflections of lanterns dancing across the calm waters of the Thu Bon River.

17:30 Arrive at a riverside café and relax with a refreshing drink while enjoying the vibrant evening atmosphere of Hoi An.

18:30 Transfer back to your hotel by vehicle. End of the tour.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Kayaking Notes.

  • Distance: Approximately 7 km of paddling, with a total duration of 2.5–3 hours, including stops for sunset viewing and refreshment break in local cafe.
  • Route: Some sections of the river are shared with local boats and may be busier than others. Always follow your guide's instructions and remain aware of surrounding river traffic.
  • Suitability: Suitable for beginners and anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No previous kayaking/SUP experience is required, as a full safety briefing and basic paddling instruction are provided before departure. Children aged 10 years and above may participate when accompanied by an adult.
  • Safety Notes: Personal belongings such as phones and cameras should be stored in a waterproof dry bag. Follow your guide's instructions at all times and stay with the group. The itinerary may be adjusted depending on weather, tides, and river conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

3. Health & Safety

  • Medical Considerations: Your safety is our priority. If you have a history of cardiovascular conditions or chronic joint issues (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.), please consult with your doctor before booking this trip.
  • Physical Fitness: Please maintain a regular walking routine of approximately 5–7 km per day in the weeks leading up to the tour to ensure you are adequately prepared for the trek.
  • Transparency: Please inform our tour guide of any existing health conditions or allergies at the start of the journey so we can support you best.
