ITINERARY
Hoi An - Cam Thanh - Duy Vinh - Hoi An

08:00 Meet your guide at your hotel and transfer to the kayaking launch point in Cam Thanh.

After a short introduction to basic kayaking techniques and safety procedures, begin paddling along the Thu Bon River toward Hoi An Ancient Town. From the water, enjoy a unique perspective of the historic riverside, once one of Southeast Asia's most important trading ports. Glide past traditional wooden houses, fishing boats, and everyday riverside life before stopping at a charming riverside café for a relaxing coffee break.

10:00 Continue kayaking across the river to Cam Kim Island. Here, take a leisurely walk through Kim Bong Carpentry Village and Duy Vinh Village, where you'll visit local families and discover traditional crafts that have been preserved for generations. Depending on the season and daily activities, you may observe vegetable farming, mat weaving, or other local handicrafts while learning about the lifestyle of the riverside communities.

Enjoy a tasting of local specialties before continuing your journey by kayak through the tranquil nipa palm forest, a peaceful ecosystem that contrasts beautifully with the bustling Ancient Town.

13:00 Return to the starting point. Freshen up, change clothes, and transfer back to your hotel. End of the tour.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Kayaking Notes.

  • Distance: Approximately 7 km of paddling, with a total duration of 2.5–3 hours, including stops for sunrise viewing, visiting the fish market, and breakfast.
  • Route: The route follows mostly calm waterways with a few sections shared with local boats.
  • Suitability: Suitable for beginners and anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No previous kayaking experience is required, as a full safety briefing and basic paddling instruction are provided before departure. Children aged 10 years and above may participate when accompanied by an adult.
  • Safety Notes: Personal belongings such as phones and cameras should be stored in a waterproof dry bag. Follow your guide's instructions at all times and stay with the group. The itinerary may be adjusted depending on weather, tides, and river conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

3. Health & Safety

  • Medical Considerations: Your safety is our priority. If you have a history of cardiovascular conditions or chronic joint issues (knees, ankles, shoulders, etc.), please consult with your doctor before booking this trip.
  • Physical Fitness: Please maintain a regular walking routine of approximately 5–7 km per day in the weeks leading up to the tour to ensure you are adequately prepared for the trek.
