ITINERARY
Sapa – Tram Ton Pass – Binh Lu Junction – Ethnic Villages – Sapa

07:00 Your adventure begins at your Sapa hotel lobby, where you will meet your expert guide and be introduced to your premium Trek hardtail mountain bike. Your guide will conduct a professional bike fitting to ensure maximum comfort and control. This is followed by a vital safety briefing covering trail communication, high-altitude braking techniques, and descent protocols, ensuring you feel fully prepared and confident before setting off.

08:00 Board the support vehicle for a scenic, winding drive up to Tram Ton Pass, also known as Heaven's Gate. Sitting at over 2,000 meters above sea level on the ridge of the Hoang Lien Mountain Range, this is the highest mountain pass in Vietnam and the official launching point of your cycling journey.

08:45 Kick off the ride by tackling a short but challenging 3 km climb over the stunning crest of Tram Ton Pass, rewarded by spectacular, sweeping views of the Hoang Lien Valley. After reaching the summit, cross over to the western side of the Fansipan range, where the weather dramatically clears. From here, experience the ultimate highlight of the trip: a thrilling 26 km downhill ride on a smoothly paved road. Surrounded by crisp mountain air and dramatic alpine scenery, you will carve through majestic switchbacks descending into one of the most picturesque valleys in Northern Vietnam.

12:00 After an exhilarating morning of riding, break for a well-deserved lunch at a local village tucked along the route. Relax inside a traditional house and recharge with a delicious spread of freshly prepared highland specialties—a wonderful opportunity to rest your legs and experience authentic mountain hospitality.

13:30 Upon reaching the Binh Lu Junction, turn off the main road to navigate a more moderate, backcountry terrain. This section follows a rustic, sometimes rocky road winding along the base of the mountain range, passing old-growth forests and untamed landscapes. As you pedal through this serene area, you will pass remote villages of the Thai, H’mong, and Lu ethnic communities. Because this region receives very few tourists, it offers a deeply peaceful and authentic experience with plenty of opportunities to stop, meet the locals, and soak in the natural surroundings.

15:00 Your cycling journey safely concludes in the charming area of Binh Lu. After successfully conquering the trails, toast to the day's adventure with your team and enjoy a well-deserved, refreshing cold drink. Take a moment to relax, kick back, and chat about the highlights of the ride while the crew packs up the bikes and equipment. Once fully refreshed, board the comfortable support vehicle for a relaxing drive back up and over the majestic pass, returning to Sapa.
