Your guide will conduct a professional bike fitting to tailor the bike to your exact geometry for maximum comfort. 08:00 Buckle your helmet and leave the bustle of Sapa behind for a thrilling descent into the region's legendary topography. 08:00 After bidding farewell to your hosts, check your gear and hop back onto your mountain bike. Today’s ride offers a smoother, slightly easier terrain but promises deep cultural immersion. You will pedal along quiet backcountry roads and scenic mountain passes, navigating areas rarely seen by standard tourists. Along the way, you will make a meaningful stop at a local village school or community point, and have the rare privilege of meeting the Xa Pho people—one of the smallest and most traditional ethnic minority groups in Northern Vietnam.

12:00 The route loops back past the hills of Thanh Phu before descending into the vibrant green basin of Ban Ho Valley. Here, you will break for a well-deserved lunch hosted inside a traditional local home. Relax and recharge with a delicious spread of freshly cooked highland specialties, sharing stories from the trail under the roof of genuine local hospitality.

13:30 After lunch, leave the bikes for a short, scenic walk to the nearby Ban Ho river. Unwind by the water, take a refreshing swim in the cool mountain currents, and soak in the peaceful nature. Following your riverside break, you will visit a traditional Tay stilt house to enjoy a hot cup of tea and learn about their unique customs, capping off your cultural journey with a warm and memorable interaction.

  • The Bikes: You will be provided with a premium Trek Hardtail Mountain Bike. Featuring front suspension and a rugged frame, these bikes are perfectly optimized for tackling the diverse mountain topography, steep passes, and quiet backroads of Northern Vietnam. Safety helmets are mandatory and provided.
  • The Terrain: The route is highly diverse and entirely on wheels—ranging from sweeping asphalt descents and winding mountain passes to quiet, narrow valley lanes. While there are demanding, sustained uphill climbs (such as Heaven’s Gate), the support van is always nearby, eliminating any extreme technical risks.
  • Suitability: This tour is ideal for active travelers, cycling enthusiasts, and spirited beginners looking for an epic road adventure. While no advanced mountain biking skills are required, a solid level of physical fitness, stamina, and comfort with multi-hour rides will ensure you fully enjoy the journey.

2. Homestay:

  • Overnight Stays: True to traditional highland hospitality, the homestay features a warm, communal setting. Guests will sleep in comfortable, well-appointed beds arranged in a spacious shared room (dormitory-style), or across separate traditional bedrooms within the house. Each sleeping area is fully prepared with clean linens, cozy blankets, mosquito nets, and pillows to ensure a restful night's sleep in the mountain quiet.
  • Facilities: While the homestay embraces a simple and rustic lifestyle, it is equipped with clean, modern, and fully functional shared bathrooms and western-style toilets. Hot water is available, allowing you to enjoy a refreshing shower and unwind comfortably after your ride.

3. Food & Water

  • Meals: All meals showcase authentic, hearty local cuisine designed to replenish your energy. Breakfasts are served hot at the hotels, lunches are enjoyed at handpicked local restaurants along the cycling route, and dinners feature diverse regional dishes.
  • Water & Energy: Clean, safe drinking water and energy-boosting snacks (such as fresh fruits or local treats) are supplied daily from our support vehicle. 
  • Hot Beverages: Complimentary hot tea or coffee is generally available during breakfasts at the hotels and at our designated lunch stops.
